Thank you for taking a moment to watch a behind-the-scenes look at the newborn portrait experience with Brianna Payne Photography, Calgary’s premier newborn photographer. This short video offers a glimpse into what a typical newborn session feels like — calm, cozy, and focused entirely on your baby’s comfort and safety.
Newborn photography sessions are designed to be relaxed and unhurried. Babies are gently posed using safe, baby-led techniques while parents can sit back and enjoy the experience. With soft lighting, carefully selected wraps and props, and a peaceful studio environment, every detail is thoughtfully prepared to create timeless portraits you’ll treasure forever.
A Calm and Comfortable Studio Experience
The studio is designed with both baby and parents in mind. Everything needed for your newborn session is provided, including wraps, blankets, headbands, and curated props that create a soft, classic aesthetic. Sessions typically take place within the first 10–14 days after birth, when babies are sleepiest and naturally curl into those sweet newborn poses.
During your session, plenty of time is allowed for feeding, soothing, and cuddling. There is never any rush — the goal is always to create a peaceful experience for your family while capturing beautiful portraits of your baby’s earliest days.
